Rent-a-Tau

The brothers of Alpha Tau Omega can take care of your fall To Do list.
October 25, 2013

As the leaves fall and the cold weather approaches, your list of chores may seem never-ending. The brothers of ATO hope you put down the rake and Rent-a-Tau for all your late fall/early winter cleaning needs.

The 43 ATO brothers can help you with various services:

· Landscaping

· Moving

· House cleaning

· Painting

· Assorted handyman tasks

“This is a fundraiser we started last year in which we benefit the community by providing services while at the same time benefiting a local charity,” explains fraternity Public Relations Officer Shane Fagan ’15. All proceeds will go to Abby’s House, a local foundation in Worcester that provides affordable housing specifically designed to meet the needs of women and children.

“Last year we donated all our money raised ($1,140) to Why Me and Sherry’s House, a local charity in Worcester that supports families with childhood cancer,” shares Fagan.

“I participated in a full day of Rent-a-Tau for ATO alumnus Matt Gaffney,” says Sam Russell, ’15.  Four ATO brothers were rented to help move and spread mulch as well as rake and clean a backyard.  “I had a very good experience knowing that the help I was providing was benefitting a charity, at the same time representing ATO and WPI in a great manner.”

Sign up by emailing Rent-a-Tau@wpi.edu with your name, address, phone number, time of availability, number of brothers needed (2 or 4), hours required, and service(s) requested.
