Wondering what’s up at the Gordon Library these days? Then check out the Gordon Library blog, which posted some key updates today, including the library’s plans for re-organizing materials later this summer.
The library blog reports that stacks and study spaces on the third floor are now being consolidated. Best sellers, audio, and video collections are all being relocated to make room for a flexible instruction area and more group study space on the 3rd floor. Some new carpet is also in the plans.
More than 1000 linear feet of archival and special collections—about 25% of all the papers, books, photographs, and objects in the WPI Archives and Special Collections—will also be moved to temporary storage as the Library prepares for a construction build out.
You know it’s a busy summer when the Library turns to Hollywood stars to help get its message out, which in turn, makes the Gordon Library blog a must-read.
