How to Apply
As you begin your application process, keep in mind that off-campus experiences offer a certain set of challenges, no matter the location. Students should expect to balance team dynamics, a demanding work schedule, and relationships with local sponsors all while getting comfortable in your host environment. Well prepared students are better able to enjoy the unique and challenging experiences that off-campus project work offers – we look forward to working with you in this process!
Off-Campus IQP Application Process Kick-off
GEO will host an on-line presentation and Q & A session for students who wish to participate in the application process for an IQP in the 2025-2026 academic year. The application process opens on August 30.

Make the most of your time at the fair:
• Visit as many tables as you can. Ask about the types of projects, terms, costs, and any other questions you may have.
• Chat with campus partners in SWEET, Financial Aid, and Academic Advising to learn how a term off campus affects other aspects of your WPI life.
• Take FREE passport sized photos. You can use these to apply for a passport, visa, or for other preparatory materials.
Off-Campus IQP Application Process for 2024-2025 Programs
Our final application cycle for 2024-2025 off-campus IQP will open on September 12. Please look for an email on the 12th announcing the openings offered and detailing instructions for applying. Contact the Global Experience Office global@wpi.edu for additional information.
