The WPI culture values the dedication of our employees, so we want to make sure we honor and recognize the work they do. Employees can be nominated with various awards and prizes, but we also like to show appreciation for the everyday work that goes on. Ice cream socials, a holiday party, and BBQs bring employees together and let everyone know they are appreciated.

Celebrating Employee Milestones 2023

Talent & Inclusion thanks and celebrates employees who have achieved important milestones in 2023. From employees who have been with WPI for 10 years to those who have reached 50 years of employment with the university, their dedication is appreciated.

Long Service: Valuing Experience and Expertise

At WPI, we take great pride in our long-service employees. Employees are recognized at five-year intervals, beginning after the completion of ten years of service. In each year that a long-service anniversary is celebrated after fifteen years, an additional week of vacation will be added to annual vacation accrual for that year. This anniversary vacation must be used within the fiscal year following the year in which the service anniversary occurs.

Ice Cream Social

Our annual Ice Cream Social offers an afternoon of socializing and celebrating our employees. Spot Award recipients, long service employees, and the recipients of our Trustees' Award for Outstanding Staff Member are recognized, along with additional shout-outs.
