Dana L. Harmon is the director of physical education, recreation, and athletics at WPI, a position she has held since 2002. She is only the sixth athletic director in the 150 year history of WPI, and the first woman to serve in that role. Harmon oversees the physical education program for the university's 4,500 undergraduates; over 35 club sports with more than 750 students; an intramural program with over 2,500 participants; and WPI’s NCAA Division III athletic program which includes 20 varsity sports and over 650 student-athletes. Ran cross country and track at Utica College then transitioned into coaching track and field at WPI for the last 4 years. Still an avid runner and now a powerlifter.
