Prof. Rob Sarnie and others joined Industry leaders, startups, investors, and fintech enthusiasts who came together to explore the current FinTech ecosystem, how diversity plays a part in Fintech, and how we can all help build a bigger and better community.
Here are just a few of our key take-aways from the event!
- While we've made significant progress in improving diversity in the Fintech space, we still have a long way to go!
- In order to make strides in this area, we need to make technology more accessible and teach both financial education and literacy from an earlier age.
- Massachusetts has all the right ingredients for an amazing fintech ecosystem. However, one of the biggest challenges we face is putting all of those ingredients together so that more people stay here and help build on this great Fintech community.
- Both panelists and audience members went out of their way to stress that the issues in Boston’s Fintech sector could be fixed by having a strong community of people passionate about creating a thriving and inclusive Fintech ecosystem. We’ll be the first to say that we can’t wait to be a part of this change.
