In celebration and recognition of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the WPI Business Development Lab hosted a "Meet and Greet with John Hill" on Thursday, Nov. 16th.
John, a Higher Education Evangelist for TechStars, is an expert in building relationships and connecting people with opportunity. He brought his passion and expertise to share with students in Professor Rosanna Garcia's Economics and Entrepreneurship class. Then John remained on campus to network with students, and host one-on-one meetings where 25 students had professional photos taken. John's session, "LinkedIn Mining: Unearth the Power of Networking," provided attendees with the secrets of leveraging this powerful platform to create meaningful connections, unlock career opportunities, and build a stellar personal brand. He also provided feedback to students on their LinkedIn profiles.
Engaging with more than 50 students, the event was extremely well received by all who attended, putting the Business Development Lab in front of a whole new group of students. Special thanks goes to the Business Development Lab Manager Ardian Preci and Events Coordinator Sakshi Digambar Rakshe for their hard work.
