Announcing Class of 1957 Teaching Development Travel Grants

These $1,500 grants enable faculty to connect with external communities by attending a teaching/education-related conference or institute in the next 12 months, for purposes of professional development related to teaching and learning and/or to disseminate their own work.  

The spring 2023 grant cycle is focused on teaching faculty because we want to prioritize those who historically have had less access to professional development funds. Anyone in a full-time "TRT" teaching position (i.e., all ranks of Teaching Professors, Instructor/Lecturer, PoP) or in a teaching tenure-track position is eligible to apply. Faculty who received a grant in 2022 are not eligible for this round. 

Consideration will be given to level of need (i.e., prioritization of under-resourced departments and individuals), and departments will normally be expected to cover expenses that exceed $1,500.
