Board of Trustees' Award for Outstanding Academic Advising

In recognition of the important role that academic advisors play in guiding and mentoring students through stages of professional and personal development, the WPI Board of Trustees established this award in 2000. Prior to that, the WPI student chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, presented an annual advising award based on input from the WPI Community. In 2000, after ten years of presenting the award, the students of Tau Beta Pi asked the WPI Board of Trustees to make the award each year.
