Getty Research Institute

The Getty Research Institute offers residential grants to scholars through its theme-year scholar programs, library research grants, and conservation guest scholars program. Residence periods vary from a few weeks to two years; stipends and provisions of additional resources to facilitate research also vary. Also provided by the Getty are nonresidential grants that enable scholars to pursue their research wherever necessary to complete their projects. Although grantees are welcome to use the Getty library if their projects bring them to Los Angeles, residence at the Getty Center is not required or provided.
