Association for Women in Science (AWIS) Educational Foundation Scholarships

Each year, the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) Educational Foundation offers about 5-10 AWIS graduate fellowships. In general, female students enrolled in a behavioral, life, physical, or social science or engineering program leading to a Ph.D. degree may apply. See the detailed list in the application instructions to confirm eligibility of your field. Non-U.S. citizens must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program at a university in the United States. Reviewers consider academic achievement, the importance of the research question addressed, the quality of the research, and the applicant's potential for future contributions to science or engineering. The program is quite competitive, with about 100 applicants last year.
