Center for Well-Being Resources for Employees
The Center for Well-Being is a hub for supporting the holistic well-being of the entire campus community. The following Center for Well-Being services and programs are offered to faculty and staff to foster their vitality (managing cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual energy), enhance meaning and purpose, strengthen relationships, and build community.

Wellness Hub
Open M-F 8am-8pm, The Center offers a beautiful and supportive oasis of calm and peace to gather, relax, reflect, and recharge. All are welcome to enjoy community spaces for popping in for a wellness break and cup of tea or be soothed by the water wall while doing puzzles.
Rest and Reflection Room/Prayer Space
The CWB offers drop in for a private, self-directed 15-minute Sip of Wellness session in the Rest and Reflection Room. Use the space to support yourself: zero-gravity chair, compression boots, red light therapy, yoga mats, prayer mats

Online Resources
Vector Solutions
This online platform offers a variety of courses to increase awareness and encourage decision-making. Check out the Mental Well-Being for Faculty and Staff or Stress Management courses. Empower yourself by taking these trainings when it fits in your schedule. Most trainings range in length from 15 to 50 minutes.

The Digital WellSort
A simple drag-and-drop card sorting activity to help employees get clear about their mental health and wellness priorities and needs, connect with needed resources, and make small changes to improve their overall health. *Please note - this activity works best on a larger screen, such as a desktop, laptop or tablet*

Employee Programs
MIEA Mindfulness Meditation
An evidence-based mindfulness curriculum designed for college-aged adults and appropriate for all. In this 4-week format, participants learn practical skills that help them manage stress and open their minds. The program is also offered each semester and during the summer to graduate students, faculty, and staff. Learn more here.
ProjectConnect
An evidence-based, peer-facilitated program that fosters conversation, connection, and community. Over the course of six weeks, participants discuss a series of thought-provoking questions, complete a mini connection project, and get together for a celebration. A great way to meet faculty and staff outside your department! Offered during A-Term.
Student Support Network (SSN)
This is a six-week training course offered in collaboration with the Student Development and Counseling Center that gives employees the skills to help their students or colleagues in crisis or distress. Participants will discuss mental and emotional health, how to identify the warning signs of someone who’s struggling, resources to connect them to, and more. The main goal of the SSN is to expand and enrich the campus support network so that every member of the WPI community has someone looking out for them. Offered during A-Term.
Workshops
Recognizing and Responding to Student Distress (RRSD)
This interactive, 90-minute mental health and awareness workshop offered in collaboration with the Student Development and Counseling Center provides student data on student mental health, reviews the most prevalent student mental health issues and engages participants in practical conversation about how to support students in the moment as well as how and when to refer students to campus resources. Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)
QPR is an in-person, evidence-based suicide prevention training that teaches participants(a) the warning signs and risk factors of suicide, (b) how to ask someone about suicide (Question); (c)how to encourage them to seek support (Persuade); and (d) how to help them get the help that they need (Refer). This is offered to faculty and staff as an optional training to deepen learning.
WellSort In-person Workshop
CWB can host an in-person workshop for your department to help employees get clear about their mental health and wellness priorities and needs, connect with needed resources, and make small changes to improve their overall health.
Drop-in Events and Programs
Wellness Days
Not just for students! These are days to reflect, relax, reconnect, and reenergize as individuals and as a campus community. There are no classes, no assignment due dates, no non-critical lab work, and no meetings held on these days. Wellness Days feature a variety of ways to de-stress, re-center, and connect with yourself and those around you throughout the day.
