Kim Allen (she/her) has served as the Assistant Director of Academic Advising and First Year Experience since May of 2024. As a first-generation college student turned higher educational professional, Kim seeks to support students from diverse backgrounds to realize their potential. She is also an  intentional higher education professional who seeks to empower and to develop students into leaders with transferable skills that will help them in the post college world.

As the Assistant Director of Academic Advising and First Year Experience, Kim leads the  development, implementation, and assessment of academic advising programs for first-year students. This includes coordinating the First Year Welcome Experience, oversight of the Insight Program, development of in-person and online advising programs to support first-year students and collaborating with campus stakeholders to promote retention efforts.
