Jamie Burden is excited to join the WPI STEM Education Center as of Winter 2023. She brings 15+ years of experience working as a licensed high school educator in an urban setting. In addition to teaching, she has worked as a teacher leader completing evaluations in the Worcester Public Schools by leading a department of 10+ educators. Jamie brings experience working with Educational Leadership as she continues to work towards her High School Administrator license. She has trained dozens of student teachers as a Mentor Teacher, Teacher Leader, and Focused Instructional Coach. Currently, Jamie works as an Instructional Coach in Worcester Public Schools supporting a staff of 125+ educators. During her 5+ years coaching she has prepared valuable professional development including a strong focus on best instructional practices for Multilingual Learners and Students with Disabilities. Her interest in Culturally Relevant Teaching and Learning, Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Engagement training drives her personal development as she considers herself a lifelong learner.
