University Advancement Parent Ambassadors

WPI Parents' Association talking

The Division of University Advancement builds and sustains relationships with alumni, donors, parents, friends, and advocates of WPI, securing the vital resources that add lasting value to the university.

University Advancement Parent Ambassadors are volunteers for activities designed to have a positive impact on WPI students in alignment with University Advancement initiatives. Parents/guardians are able to become involved in a meaningful way with the university to which their student(s) will forever be connected.

Mission and Initiatives

University Advancement Parent Ambassadors are dedicated to enhancing the partnership between the University and parents/guardians through events, programs, and opportunities reflecting the mission of the University. Parent Ambassadors have an exclusive relationship with the Division of University Advancement, and serve as ambassadors of the University in support of its initiatives and priorities. Members have a keen interest in volunteering for University Advancement-sponsored opportunities and programs, and may be in collaboration with divisions across campus.

Who can be an ambassador?

Parents/guardians of enrolled WPI undergraduate students, having an interest in volunteering for University Advancement-sponsored activities, are eligible to be Parent Ambassadors.

In addition to opportunities for volunteerism, Parent Ambassadors are invited to occasional virtual meetings during the academic year to meet one another and enjoy a presentation from a key campus representative. Have a question for a Parent Ambassador? Email PAEC@wpi.edu to be connected.

How can parents get involved?

Various areas of the University utilize parent volunteers to enhance their programs and offerings. The Parent Ambassadors support University Advancement programs and endeavors, in addition to University-wide collaborative events, such as Family Weekend. If you would like to learn more about becoming a Parent Ambassador, please connect with Maureen Maynard at mmaynard@wpi.edu.
