Student Employee Rights

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and youth employment standards affecting employees in the private sector and in Federal, State, and local governments.

Visit the U.S. Department of Labor's page to read about current regulations and policies covered under this Act. Student workers should be informed on all and any protections that this act offers to them while employed at WPI.
