Mail Services

Mail Services manages student mailboxes, USPS mail, and all incoming packages.  Students will receive email notifications to visit the mailroom in the Campus Center to retrieve incoming mail and packages.

We provide courier service for the delivery all packages, postal mail, and interoffice mail to campus departments. There is a service window for purchase of stamps and outgoing shipment of packages via UPS, FedEx, and USPS. We accept Goatbucks and major credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay.

Packages may be dropped off with outgoing shipment labels already attached for courtesy pickup by UPS, FedEx, and USPS, as applicable.  WPI community members are responsible for obtaining and affixing the appropriate outgoing shipment label to each package. These carriers may not scan your package, therefore WPI cannot provide a receipt or tracking information to you.

Student Mailbox numbers are available in Workday on the student contact page, under institutional contact info.

Hours:  Window service hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
To ensure same day shipment of outgoing packages, mail services must receive them by 2:30 p.m.
Summer hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Mail Services will be open additional days:

Sunday August 18th 2024  First Year Student Move-in Day.  8:30AM - 3:30PM

Student first class mail will be picked up at the service window.  You will receive an email notification when mail has arrived for you.  Proceed to the service window with your WPI ID and mailbox number to retrieve it.

Student packages are picked up from either the new package lockers or at the service window. You will receive an email advising whether to pick up your package(s) from a locker, or at the window. This will be dependent upon package size, weight, content, or storage requirements.

Packages stored in lockers are accessible whenever the Campus Center is open.

Mail Services has an optional package pickup application. This app will allow students to see a detailed view of packages waiting to be retrieved from Mail Services. Along with the visibility to see stored packages, students will be able to open package lockers via pushing a button from the app, bypassing the kiosk. See attachment for setup instructions.
