Annual Giving
Why Give?
Since its founding 150 years ago, WPI’s core mission has been to advance science and engineering knowledge for the betterment of the world in which we all live. Your WPI Fund gift empowers the university to make the strategic investments necessary to keep this vision alive, whether through enhancements to the WPI Academic Plan, the awarding of financial aid to deserving and talented students, or through the attraction and retention of world-class faculty and researchers. Any gift –regardless of size– will support the education and development of today’s students and tomorrow’s global leaders.

Your Gift Counts!
Unrestricted annual gifts to the university are important for a number of reasons: they help to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating a student; they provide the means to take advantage of unanticipated opportunities for academic entrepreneurship that emerge throughout the year; and they increase the value of a WPI degree by raising alumni and parent giving participation rates. Participation rates are one metric upon which many university rankings are based, and there is a direct correlation between rankings and the prestige and value of a degree post-graduation. Every gift counts, and every annual gift has an immediate and powerful impact on current WPI students.
