Our Teacher Prep Students are hosting hobby and interest-based workshops (micro-teaching) where you can come, learn something new, and maybe even leave with a cool takeaway! Check out our offerings below:
Stop by Olin 126 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm to learn how to weave an Arrow Friendship Bracelet! No experience required! Have at least four of your favorite colors in mind and bring some song recommendations as we will have music playing in the background while you work on your super cool new bracelets!
“Swing” by Olin 109 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm to learn about the wonderful game of golf! From rules of play to how to land a putt, we will walk you through every step of the way! There has never been a better time to learn a game you could play for the rest of your life. If you already have golfing experience, feel free to stop by and share tips with other golfers.
Stop by Olin 126 from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm to learn how to forage for wild edible plants both on and off campus! Begin your own foraging field guide. Sample food made from wild edible plants! Please wear comfortable shoes as we will be taking a short walk around campus!
Come on down to Olin 223 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm to learn about the sport of bowling! Did you know that some bowlers don't use three fingers to bowl? Find out more about the hidden science behind bowling balls and the lanes you roll them on! Feel free to ask lots of questions about this fun activity!
Want to feed the birds? Pop by Olin Hall 109 at any point from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm to make suet cakes! All supplies will be provided, and no experience is required! Fun for you, food for them…it’s a win/win! See you there.
