WPI's Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) will host its first Technology Exhibition from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, in the Campus Center Odeum. Industry representatives will be on hand to speak with WPI students about building businesses around their inventions, and will encourage them to think more about innovation and entrepreneurship while pursuing their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
What
Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) will host its first Technology Exhibition. Technology experts (professors, students, and businesses) will display their inventions and let students "play" with them. Simultaneously, technologists will explain to students what their devices do, the trials and tribulations involved in developing them, and the satisfaction that occurs from success. Industry representatives will talk about building businesses around their inventions. The technology, when combined with the inquisitive nature of WPI students, will encourage them to pursue the world of technology, and find out how they can launch a career in innovation and become entrepreneurs at the same time.
Why
The Technology Exhibition's purpose is to encourage WPI students to think more about innovation and entrepreneurship while pursuing their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
