One of this year's commended faculty—Kathi Fisler, PhD, who was recently promoted to full professor of computer science and is director of the WPI Cybersecurity Program—will deliver a lecture at the beginning of festivities titled "What Cyberattacks Teach Us About Security Education."

WHY

In addition to being passionate about teaching, WPI professors are committed researchers and scholars with world-class credentials. They are educators and leaders who bring an exceptional range of expertise and experience to WPI.

"With their outstanding professional accomplishments and diverse interests, our faculty are helping WPI meet an exceptional demand for our undergraduate and graduate programs. Their commitment to excellence serves to expand our reputation for education and research that blends theory and practice with an aim to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems," Leshin said. "On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the WPI community, it is extremely gratifying to be able to celebrate and acknowledge their accomplishments."
