Abstract: Johnson & Johnson MedTech (JJMT) is a market leader in the medtech space with a mission of breaking barrier at the intersection of biology and technology for better health.  This presentation will provide an overview of JJMT's key business areas, spotlight recent innovations, detail my contributions to advancing breakthrough solutions for patients, and explore partnership opportunities with JJMT. 

Biography: Ibraheem (Ib) provides external innovation support and counsel to all platforms across the J&J MedTech Surgery as well including identification and advancing early-stage external opportunities aligned with JJMT Surgery growth strategy.  From 2013-2021, Ib was the New Venture Leader(MedTech) at J&J Innovation Center Boston, where he led the advancement and onboarding of early-stage innovations that are currently part of JJMT. From 2010 to 2013, Ib was a Research Fellow at the Global Surgery Group of Johnson & Johnson, responsible for external, front-end innovations and intellectual property for Ethicon Biosurgery. From 2006 to 2010, he was the Director of Applied Research & New Technology Assessment of novel biomaterials. Ib came to J & J through the acquisition of Closure Medical Corp where he was the Chief Scientist. Ib is a prolific inventor that has resulted in commercialized products.  Ib has held other roles in academia and other Medtech companies.
