Yearlong Virtual Event Series Celebrates The Global School at WPI

The Global School Virtual Event Series kicks off on Friday, October 9 with a celebration of The Global School at WPI and University Lecture by Dr. Robert Langer, ScD. Monthly events will focus on global grand challenge themes and the work WPI is doing in collaboration with regional academic, corporate, government and non-profit partners around the world to address and deliver solutions with local impact. 

The first event on October 9 will take place from 10:00am – 2:00 pm and include remarks by President Leshin, an overview of The Global School at WPI, a session on Global Grand Challenges, and a presentation by Dr. Robert Langer, Institute Professor at MIT. Dr. Langer will discuss his quest to solve global health challenges using biotechnology and how by following his passion, he was able to make an impact on the world. All are invited to join the virtual event.
