Women's Rowing has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time in program history. This year's championships will be held May 25-27 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL, and will be hosted by the University of Central Florida.  The third-ranked Engineers join the likes of No. 1 Bates, No. 2 Ithaca, No. 8 Pacific Lutheran, No. 13 Washington College, No. 5 Wellesley, No. 4 Wesleyan and No. t6 Williams who collectively account for 14 national championships and 54 appearances.  The program has been led by Jason Steele since being elevated to varsity status for the 1999-2000 season. The coaching staff also currently boasts Pat Guida (WPI '83), Martha Strom, Paul Berube and Elizabeth Crowley.

Two individuals and a relay will head to La Crosse, Wisconsin for the 2018 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships May 24-26.  Sydney Packard and Lea Strangio will contest the women's 800-meter run while the quartet of Alex Rus, Paul-Henry Schoenhagen, Nick Fleury and Warren Staver will compete in the men's 4x400-meter relay.  The preliminaries for the relay is scheduled for 6:30pm Thursday while heats of the 800 is slated for 6:15pm Friday.  Both finials are on Saturday afternoon.

Swimming & Diving senior Jenny Day and junior Jack Bauer have been named to their respective Google Cloud Academic All-District® At-Large Team, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Ama Biney and Nina Murphy-Cook were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-New England first team while three others were also recognized by the region's head coaches. Biney completed the four-year sweep and Murphy-Cook, who missed half of last season, was lauded for the third time in four years. Caraline Wood and Marissa Gonzales picked up second team honors and Renee LeClaire represented the Engineers on the third team. The five selections ties the program record set in 2016.
