Robert Krueger Invited to Speak at United Nations Forum February 8-9

Robert Krueger, Professor of Human Geography, Head of Social Science and Policy Studies, and Director of WPI’s Institute of Science and Technology for Development (InSTeD), has been invited to speak and provide input at the forthcoming United Nations’ High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, in Bilbao, Spain, on February 8-9, 2023.

 

This meeting is an Expert Group Meeting on the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a focus on SDG11: Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Krueger will also co-lead a breakout group on Cities developing resilient infrastructure and supporting sustainable industries.

 

The Bilbao gathering is a precursor to a larger meeting, the Science, Technology, and Innovation for Development Forum, to be held in New York later this year.
