Joshua Harmon's New Upcoming Publication of Poems

Joshua Harmon's third book of poems, The Soft Path, will be published as part of the Akron Series in Poetry by the University of Akron Press in September, 2019. One early reviewer notes that "While Harmon's work shows an awareness of tradition, and an impressive knowledge of his field, his approach to musicality, and his use of the page as a visual field, are altogether original. Indeed, he brings Zukofsky's interest in creating vibrant soundscapes into dialogue with the visually charged and formally adventurous work of Lorine Niedecker and George Oppen." The book includes a 1500-line poem, "Horizontal Dropouts." Other poems in the book have recently been accepted for publication in Bennington Review and Tampa Review.
