Segway, the New Hampshire maker of the world’s dorkiest vehicle on two wheels, teased a partnership with Intel and a new personal robotics division earlier this week. Tuesday night, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the two companies debuted their first product.

It looks like a cross between a Segway and its cooler successor, the hoverboard. But get this — when you’re not riding the thing, a screen springs out of the top and the scooter transforms into a robot that can reply to voice commands, navigate using a sophisticated Intel-built camera, and roll around the house by itself.
