The Data Science program was awarded a three year National Science Foundation grant to work with undergraduate students, titled:
NSF REU SITE: INTERDISCIPLINARY DATA SCIENCE RESEARCH FOR SAFE, SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITIES. CNS-1560229. 2016 - 2019.

One team was privileged to be chosen by the NSF to present their final paper at a symposium in Washington, D.C., quite a remarkable accomplishment!
This years' group of ten, also remarkable undergraduates, has now left for homes all over the United States. They accomplished some remarkable work at WPI during their ten weeks of hard work, and accomplished some hard play on the weekend.
