Boston Patent Law Association Honors Professor Marko Popovic for Innovative Patent

Please join Robotics Engineering in congratulating Professor Marko Popovic for being honored at The Boston Patent Law Association's Invented Here! 2018 Program, for his team's invention and successful patent of "Variable Stiffness Devices and Methods of Use". A copy of the patent can be seen in RBE's 85 Prescott offices. Professor Popovic's team was one of two WPI honorees, the only academic institution to be awarded multiple times in 2018.

From more than ten thousand patents granted last year in New England, approximately fifty judges for the BLPA chose only twelve patents and their inventors to be honored this year. Other 2018 honorees include Harvard University, Northeastern University, University of Connecticut, The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, and EMD Millipore Corporation.

By celebrating these innovators, their inventions, and the stories behind them, the program advances BPLA's mission of providing educational programs by informing the public of these great innovations.
