Ranger Challenge
Are you up for the challenge?
As Army ROTC's "varsity sport," the Ranger Challenge gives Cadets yet another opportunity for exciting and challenging training. Teams of 9 Cadets from each of the 42 Army ROTC Battalions in 2nd Brigade come together each fall to compete in various military events such as:
-
Land navigation
-
Fitness test
-
Tactical Combat Casualty Care
-
Weapons assembly/disassembly
-
Grenade throwing
-
Obstacle course
-
One rope bridge
-
Written exam
-
10-Kilometer forced road march
The Bay State Battalion Ranger Challenge team is very competitive and has placed in the top six for the past four years. The team's success can be attributed to the dedication and persistence of the Cadets who try out each year. More early mornings, extra physical training, and many hours dedicated to technical training are just a few examples of how these Cadets prepare themselves for the competition each year.
