Game Developers Conference

The Game Developers Conference is the largest professional gathering of game developers in the world. Each year, developers gather to meet, exchange ideas, solve problems, and shape the future of the industry.

WPI students attend talks, roundtables, and panel discussions from some of the biggest names in the industry—it's also a great opportunity to network and interview at Job Expo. Students are welcome to attend the Game Developers Choice Awards, where the industry recognizes and celebrates the achievements of the past year, and be part of the Independent Games Festival, where the next generation of innovative projects are honored.

On top of all this, we host an alumni luncheon at GDC for WPI students and graduates to meet, eat, and talk, both about their time at WPI and their future beyond campus. This lunch is a great opportunity to network and learn from the seasoned pros who have shaped the IMGD program!

Looking to get involved? Our IMGD students can win GDC passes through the Narrative Design Competition (email Farley Chery for more information), or by being selected as ambassadors from the Different Games program or the Women in Games program.
