Horace Smith Fund Walter S. Barr Scholarships and Fellowships

The Horace Smith Fund was established to help deserving students finance their education. College scholarship applicants for must be graduates of Hampden County, Massachusetts’s secondary schools; Graduate Fellowship applicants must be residents in Hampden County, Massachusetts or qualified former residents.
Candidates who look forward to careers of definite social usefulness are preferred. Such careers might be found, for example in politics, in scientific research, in the ministry, and in the learned professions.
