Campinas is located northwest São Paulo, with it's own international airport for easy access to/from the United States and around the rest of Brazil. Students work in collaboration with faculty and students from the University of Campinas, commonly called UNICAMP. UNICAMP ranks among the top universities in Brazil and Latin America. Students live and work at UNICAMP's flagship campus in the district of Barão Geraldo, 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from the center of Campinas. The Campinas, Brazil Project Center was established in 2019.

Experimental projects in the area of sustainable energy, waste, and agriculture.

Conversion of chicken feathers into amino acids, anaerobic digestion of brewer’s waste, recovery of fermentable sugars from sugarcane waste
