Alesia LeSane serves as the Assistant Director for Multicultural Education and Student Success. Guided by the belief that education is most impactful when students feel truly seen, heard, and empowered, Alesia focuses on creating spaces where students can explore what they value and how they want to shape their futures.

Her work centers on designing and facilitating programs that foster community, build leadership capacity, and help students confidently navigate the complexities of college life. Through key success programs such as the Connections Pre-Orientation Program, first-generation student support, LSAMP coordinating, and Graduate Connections, Alesia helps students form meaningful connections, develop a sense of agency, and access the tools they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Alesia’s approach to student success is deeply collaborative — working closely with campus partners, faculty, staff, and alumni to ensure students experience a network of support throughout their journey. Before stepping into her current role, she worked in Undergraduate Enrollment at WPI, where she assisted students and families in making informed decisions about their college paths.

At the core of Alesia’s philosophy is the understanding that students arrive with unique strengths, stories, and aspirations — and that the role of student support is not to define success for them, but to help them uncover their own version of it. She believes that authentic relationships, combined with intentional programming, can transform the way students see themselves and their potential.

Outside of work, Alesia loves discovering music, especially indie and alternative music. She’s working on picking up new languages (thanks to Duolingo’s persistence). Alesia also enjoys trying out new food spots around New England and dreaming up a travel list that she’s determined to check off one day.
