Pronouns: she/her/hers. As an Assistant Director of Academic Advising, I work with a caseload of students to help guide them towards achieving their academic and personal goals. This includes helping students understand their curricula, providing academic coaching for students who wish to develop new academic strategies, and working with students to make the most of their experiences at WPI. I also serve as a Pre-health Advisor to guide students who are interested in pursuing a health professions program such as medical school or dental school after WPI, and I represent the Office of Academic Advising on WPI's CARE Team, a group of professional staff members that supports the safety, welfare, and academic success of students by identifying and connecting students with support services on campus.
My own undergraduate experiences in residence life and my previous role in college admissions helped me discover my passion for supporting student success and development. I approach my work with the understanding that every student is unique and comes to WPI with different expectations, challenges, and goals. My goal is to get to know students on an individual level and partner with them to work towards their own vision of success. When I'm not at work, I enjoy finding new shows to binge-watch on streaming services and finding opportunities to pet dogs, since I don't have one of my own (yet!).
