Amanda has been with the Student Development and Counseling Center since March 2022. Amanda is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and received her Masters in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Assumption College. Prior to joining WPI, Amanda worked in a wide range of settings such as general outpatient, juvenile corrections, and inpatient psychiatric facilities. Her clinical approach is influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her areas of knowledge include supporting those with depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress, and trauma. Amanda's favorite self-care strategies include spending time with her dog, Hank, and cat, Milo, along with teaching spin classes and playing pick-up field hockey.
