Alan Baker is WPI's Director of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy. He also serves as the Chair of the Information Technology Architecture Review Board. He is involved in higher level solution planning and larger IT strategies with the goals of tying initiatives or processes together to improve quality and reduce effort. As part of the Architecture Review Board, Alan works as a partner to other business units in WPI to ensure that new projects follow architectural standards and provide assistance with design as needed.

Alan joined WPI in 2019 after having worked for 20 years for Concord Communications, Computer Associates and Broadcom through a series of acquisitions. Previously for Computer Associates, Alan was the Principal Network Engineer, with the responsibilities for architecture, design and Subject Matter expert for networking technologies across 96 offices in their global network.
