I have been an educator since January 2018, teaching a wide range of courses at institutions such as Wentworth Institute of Technology, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and the University of Houston.

I enjoy teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It allows me to interact with the students. My teaching portfolio includes undergraduate and graduate level courses in broad engineering areas spanning thermal-fluid sciences, applied mechanics, and vibration and control.

I am deeply committed to empowering students to thrive academically and professionally by cultivating critical and creative thinking skills. My goal is to equip each student with a strong foundation and the confidence to succeed in their careers.

Scholarly Work

Professor Nejad publishes theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies in areas including heat and mass transfer in porous media, the enhancement of heat transfer and optimization techniques of thermal fluid systems focusing on practical applications (such as lithium-ion batteries, shape memory polymers and thermal drying), transport characteristics in the presence of solid-liquid and solid-solid phase change materials, and fluid-structure interactions in airborne wind energy applications.
