Campus Photos
Canto is the new platform for hosting professional photography. Within the new portal you can search, sort, filter and download a wide variety of campus photos. Below are some basic instructions on how to navigate the portal along with a link to Canto.
Photos are Organized by Folders and Albums
- The Canto Public Portal is divided up into numerous folders and albums based upon what has been photographed.
- Clicking on a folder will then allow you to either view a subfolder or album listed under the category you selected.
Use the Folder Tree or Search by Tags
- Tags are more effective for searching than keywords.
- On the right side of the screen you will see yellow drop-down menus labeled Tags, which allow you to streamline the photos you are looking for.
- As you start to type a tag, options will appear below the box. Select the tag you are interested in and press the plus button.
- You cannot add new tags that do not already exist in the system
- For example, tags for a photo may include labels such as:
- Names of buildings, landmarks, or environments
- Names of destinations or seasons
- As you start to type a tag, options will appear below the box. Select the tag you are interested in and press the plus button.
If You Can't Find What You're Looking For
- If you are unable to locate a photo, please email gr-marketing-photography@wpi.edu with the details of your photo needs.
