• Please consider volunteering for the third annual WPI TouchTomorrow event. The festival is hosted here on campus and volunteers are needed on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, 2014. Building off of the successes of the past two years, the festival will continue to be a family-friendly and free event for people from all across the region to come and explore science and engineering in a fun and meaningful way. We are also delighted that WPI will once again host the NASA Sample Return Robot Challenge. The campus will be bustling with activity, and your assistance, talent, and experience is needed to introduce visitors to the WPI community and help showcase our beautiful campus.
The TouchTomorrow steering committee needs volunteers to …
- assist with set-up and break-down
- help at information kiosks and exhibits throughout campus
- provide directions
- facilitate hands-on activities for kids
- serve as WPI ambassadors
All volunteers will be given a T-shirt and lunch will be provided to those who participate on Saturday. Three shift options are available, allowing volunteers to experience TouchTomorrow as spectators and enjoy the cool toys and exhibits that NASA will bring to campus.
TRAINING AND FORMS
A very short training session, scheduled during the week leading up to the event, will be required to ensure that all volunteers know their assignments and have enough details about the day to be helpful to the thousands of visitors we expect on campus that day.
