The Center for Neuroprosthetics at WPI's Bioengineering Institute will bring together national leaders in neuroprosthetics research and development to discuss the state of the field and to advance collaborations that will push next-generation artificial limbs and prosthetic devices closer to clinical applications.

Plenary Speakers Include

  • Lt. Colonel  Paul  Pasquina, MD, chief of the Integrated Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and medical director of the Amputee Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
  • Buddy Ratner, PhD, director of University of Washington Engineered Biomaterials and professor of bioengineering and chemical engineering at the university.
  • Todd Kuiken, MD, PhD, director of the Neural Engineering Center for Artificial Limbs at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago at Northwestern University.
  • Tanja Dominko, DVM, PhD, a leading expert on regenerative biology and wound healing who is an associate professor of biology and biotechnology at WPI and a member of WPI's Bioengineering Institute.
