Experts on molecular biology
Molecular biology is the study of the molecules (including DNA, RNA, proteins, and other macromolecules) that make up living things and the way those molecules contribute to or control key processes in cells. The study of molecular biology has contributed to many breakthroughs in medicine, biotechnology, biomanufacturing, and other fields. WPI experts in molecular biology conduct research on the molecular biology of cell division, potential molecular treatments for diseases like tuberculosis, the role of macromolecules in behavior, and the use of microorganisms to manufacture valuable biomolecules.
