Experts on international development
Broadly, international development refers to the study of the differences between nations in levels of economic prosperity, industrial growth, and social wellbeing, among other factors, as well as to efforts to advance these qualities in less-developed nations. WPI experts on international development, many of whom are affiliated with the university’s International Development, Environment, and Sustainability program and its master’s program in Science and Technology for Innovation in Global Development, can talk about the importance of sustainability in global development, the links between international development and climate change, and the efforts of WPI faculty and students to explore issues of international development and social justice through WPI’s undergraduate Global Projects Program.
