Kwamie Dunbar is an associate professor of finance and director of the master's in Financial Technology (FinTech) program at WPI. He is a teacher, researcher, and has worked with several Fortune 500 companies in various capacities. His research examines blockchain assets for social good and sustainability, empirical asset pricing, cryptocurrencies, financial technologies, and futures markets. His research has contributed to insight on digital transformation in finance and economics. Professor Dunbar regularly presents his work at international conferences and writes media pieces. He can provide analysis on FinTech's role in reshaping financial transactions and services, and how FinTech is contributing to advancements in sustainability. He can answer questions about and help explain emerging financial technology, digital currency, stablecoins, cryptocurrency, and blockchain.
