Interactive Media and Game Development Professor Explains Mystery House Games

Melissa Kagen, assistant professor of teaching in the Department of Interactive Media and Game Development was quoted in a New York Times review of the new video game "Blue Prince."

As the author of the book "Wandering Games," Kagen shared her insight into the aspects of mystery house games like "Blue Prince" that captivate players.

WPI robot helps power Hollywood movie 'Rule Breakers'

If you see the movie Rule Breakers, look for a robot developed in 2022 by a student and professor from the robotics engineering program. The Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported on the student research work that drew movie producers to the program; and ultimately led to WPI's unique contribution to the film about Afghanistan’s first all-female robotics team and its inspiring journey to international competitions.

WNT WPI Robotics Competition

Worcester News Tonight aired a story on its Thursday night newscasts about the FIRST robotics district competition being held at WPI yesterday and today, which will feature 40 teams from all six New England states. Ken Stafford, WPI robotics professor and robotics resource center director, was interviewed for the segment and said the competition “has all the elements of an exciting NBA tournament with the thinking elements of math, science and engineering.”
