Free concert for the whole family
• Come hear one of the finest youth chamber orchestras in central Massachusetts perform this Friday, May 30, in a special appearance on the WPI campus. The Maplewind Youth Orchestra will present a repertoire of pop, jazz, and classical favorites at 7 pm, in Spaulding Recital Hall, located on the basement level of Alden Memorial. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Maplewind Youth Orchestra is a 19-piece group of outstanding musicians from the greater Worcester area, sponsored by Maplewind Arts. Friday’s concert at WPI will include concerti by Mozart and works of Bizet, Duke Ellington, as well as Gregorian Chant and “Let It Go” from the movie Frozen.
All ages are warmly invited to join these energetic young musicians in this free, family-friendly concert. Bring friends and family—you’ll have a wonderful time.
