Students: Bring your resume over to the Fall Career Fair at the Sports & Recreation Center on Wednesday, Sept. 18, between 12:30 and 4:30pm, and nudge elbows with 185 companies looking for talented WPI students just like YOU.
Produced by the Career Development Center, the career fair features internship, co-op, and full-time opportunities for WPI students, explains David Ortendahl, associate director of employer relations within the CDC. “Most positions will be full-time in nature,” he says, “but many companies make offers to interns within a month of the career fair.”
Students should bring multiple resumes (unfolded and clean), wear professional attire (make a great first impression), and present a good attitude (humble and eager) along with a willingness to discover the variety of opportunities that may be available.
As to what to expect this Wednesday, Ortendahl has high hopes. “For the past two years, we have exceeded attendance records for both students and employers,” he says. “We look forward to many connections between companies and our students.”
