Wellness Day: Stage for Wellness
Wellness Days are built into the academic calendar as days to reflect, relax, reconnect, and reenergize as individuals and as a campus community. These are days for our community to focus on supporting and caring for our students as well as each other.
There will be no classes, no assignment due dates, no non-critical lab work, and no meetings held on these days. Wellness Days will feature a variety of ways to de-stress and connect with yourself and those around you throughout the day.
Thursday, March 27

Locations: Morgan HallSign up for a 15-minute Reiki session with certified Reiki masters, Catherine Flayhan and Diana Fiorentino, as you experience healing in your whole-body by the gentle placement of the practitioner’s hands above or lightly on the receiver's body. Reiki is a healing practice that helps to bring your energetic body into alignment. Humans have two body forms. One is our physical body supported by our spine, bones, organs. We also have an energetic body with a central column that runs along our spine called a Sushumna. This is where the seven main Chakras live as well as the Nadis, which are channels that bring energy out to the rest of our body. Both can become out of alignment. When your energetic body is unaligned you visit a Reiki Practitioner.

Join the CWB in Alden Great Hall for a performance by the mentalist Jon Stetson! Jon Stetson is a champion player of mind games. He began as a magician but moved beyond the traditional trick and props of magic to explore the real mysteries of the human mind. Call him an “intuitionist”- he observes people’s patterns and steps inside their heads. He amazes guests with information they didn’t even know about themselves. He engages people in a psychic partnership that makes them the real stars of the show. The result is powerful, provocative, thrilling, and new; better still, it’s funny! Doors open at 4:30pm.
