Afrofuturism Flyer with Dr. Nettrice Gaskins
Dr. Gaskins's presentation looks at the gaming avatar and the cyborg as a metaphor for addressing, systemic, structural, and interpersonal racism, especially through Afrofuturism and Afro-now-ism, the later which acknowledges the urgencies of social issues by forsaking speculation in favor of immediate action. All members of the WPI community are welcomed to attend.
