Who's Coming?
J. Kalaora, Founder & Artistic Director of History At PlayTM, LLC in Literature, Life & Love. The Waterside Museum, one of many historic figures featured in the company’s repertoire.
History At PlayTM, LLC (HAP), has garnered nationwide applause for their solo Immersive Living History Experiences, chronicling the lives of legendary pioneers who changed society. In Literature, Life & Love. The Waterside Museum, HAP Founder and Artistic Director Judith Kalaora portrays the Boston author, philanthropist, and original Gossip Girl who shares stories about the lives of her closest literary friends: From Nathaniel Hawthorne to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Charles Dickens! Now, Annie Adams Fields travels to Worcester, MA to tell her story.
Mrs. Fields has an incredible influence on literary decisions at Ticknor and Fields Publishing House (forerunner to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing). Counting Oliver Wendell Holmes, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Sarah Orne Jewett amongst her closest friends, Annie witnessed a great deal of Victorian revelry at her waterside museum in Beacon Hill. No short of a Gossip Girl, Mrs. Fields kept 13 years of journals about her famous colleagues and wrote about their most intriguing moments in Authors and Friends (1896). She shares them with you during an intimate teatime conversation. There will be laughter, disbelief, and even some blushing cheeks, when you hear the tantalizing tales of Literature, Life & Love. The Waterside Museum.
